TEERE has inducted a six member board to steer the affairs of the organization for the next two years

TEERE is Coordinating the Social Audit Committee training under the Citizen participation and social accountability project at the District level. The first phase of 3 days training is underway in Bolgatanga. A total of 50 participants from Upper West, Upper East and North East regions are taking part. The first two days training will equipped the SAC committees on operational guidelines and tools while participants would be equipped with gender responsive budgeting and planning on the third day. The second phase of training will take place in Tamale this Wednesday equally hosting 50 participants from the northern region. This project is funded by GIZ/SfDR and implemented across 60 partner districts with LOGNet having oversight coordination across the country.

Our partners from Senior Expert Services and International Children Help ev (Both base in Germany) pays a visit to TEERE. The team is here to partake in handing over of medical equipment and furniture to the Bongo District Hospital.

TEERE in partnership with the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisation (GDFs) Upper East Regional, held a two day capacity building workshop on the District assembly common fund allocated to persons with disability. This forms part of activities on our project themed: “TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY AND MANAGEMENT OF THE DISABILITY FUND”. Participants present who comprised of MMDCES, Municipal & District directors, disability fund management committee (DFMCs) members, core staff of Municipal and District Assemblies and leaders of GFDs in the project districts were sensitized on the guidelines, management and utilization of Disability Fund. A monitoring and Quarterly reporting template for the DFMCs were also developed to enhance transparency in management of the fund.

TEERE in partnership with CODAC held a one day inception meeting with 17 Community Based Organisations under the SfDR/GIZ project "Enhancing Citizen's Participation & Social Accountability at the district level" in the Upper West region. The project goal is to strengthen citizen capacity to contribute to the development of it's district for quality public service delivery. The project is implemented in 17 districts across Upper West, Upper East & Northern regions. The project is supported by SfDR, LOGNet & Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development with funding from BMZ, USAID and the Canadian Government
