Prof. Ephraim Nsoh Avea (PhD)

Chief Executive Officer

Professor Avea Nsoh is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of TEERE. He has a PhD in linguistics and a B.A Linguistics and French. As a University don, he has 25 years’ experience in teaching, research, university administration, academic counselling, academic leadership and mentoring of young academics. Again as a former minister of state, he has gained extensive insights into government particularly local governance and a very good understanding of development work. In development work has led the implementation of several community development projects both TEERE, government, at the community and the University. As a result Professor Nsoh, has worldwide networking in the academia, government and the development world. He has hands-on practical experience in strategic planning, some investment training skills, and a commitment to developing the creative potential of young people. Revitalising, preserving and promoting Ghanaian and African cultures and languages are a serious concern to him.

Professor Avea is married to Ms Alice Aniah. Ms Aniah is a school counsellor at the Winneba West circuit in the Central region. We have three wonderful children: Ataabasum Patience, Avea-Avea Prosper and Asira-Soh Avebire Avea.


Gerhard Lauth

Principal Advisor

Gerhard Lauth was born 1950 in Germany and is living in Mosbach (Baden-Württemberg). He is married to his wife Brigitte and together they enjoy 2 daughters with 2 grandsons.

He has a Diploma in Public Administration (Verwaltungswirt– State Examination for the higher intermediate Public Administration Service). As a public officer he worked at the Regional Council and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Elected by the citizen Gerhard Lauth used to be Mayor for 28 years in Germany in the towns of Waldenburg and Mosbach.

In order to seek another opportunity Gerhard Lauth since 2006 has been working as an international Senior Expert in the public sector with focus on decentralization, good governance and public finance management mostly in Sub Sahara Africa but also in Eastern Europe, Turkey and Afghanistan. 2013/14 he was the manager of the GIZ programme “Support for Decentralization Reforms” in Ghana.

Mr Lauth is Co – writer of the GIZ / ALAT “Handbook for Councilors in Tanzania”, the GIZ /AREU Policy Paper: “Civil Service Reforms in Afghanistan – Roles and Functions of Civil Service Sector” and author of the GIZ “Guidebook on public administration and public finance management” used as reference book for public servants in Greece. He is also an experienced lecturer in public administration, local government reform, public finance management and civic participation. Together with the TEERE CEO Professor Dr. Nsoh, Mr Lauth developed the concept for the “TEERE Local Government Forum (TLGF). As the principal advisor he supports TEERE voluntarily on behalf of the German Senior Expert Service (SES)

Mr. Lauth is currently the acting Manager of the Foundation “Pro Duale Hochschule Mosbach” (Cooperative State University), Ambassador (voluntary representative) to Ghana of the German NGO “ICH – Inter-National Children Help e. V.” and President of a regional section of the German Red Cross.


Collins Nsiah-Ababio

Senior Expert Services Volunteer

Mr. Collins Nsiah-Ababio was born in the Ashanti Region where he completed his Secondary Education and left Ghana for Germany in 1969. He has a master’s certificate in ferro & ferro-concret construction and a Diploma in Human Resources Management. He has worked as Human Resources Manager for twenty-five (25) years in a German Distribution Company Trans-o-flex. He is married and has two Children and two grandchildren.

After his Pension, Mr. Nsiah-Ababio is working for Senior Expert Services(SES) since 2014 which has taken him to many organisations in his land of birth, Ghana. Mr. Nsiah-Ababio has trained many employees in Ghana on Human resources management, and administrative duties.

Since 2014, Mr. Nsiah-Ababio has been a civil-member of the town council of Norderstedt in Germany. Mr. Nsiah-Ababio is also a member of the Charity Lions club in Norderstedt and Vice Chairperson of the charity NGO “charity4aid e. v.
