TEERE and SILDEP attend Grant Award signing Ceremony in Accra
The Chief Executive Officers of TEERE and SILDEP recently attended a grant award signing Ceremony in Accra at the offices of Star-Ghana.
The ceremony was also attended by other grant partners from all over the country. It was presided over by the Steering Committee chqirman,
Professor Akilagkpa Sawyerr, the Director of programmes of the Star-Ghana project, Mr Ibrahim Tanko, staff of Star-Ghana, invited guests and the media.
It was a brief but very eventful and exciting programme. Mr Tanko and Professor Sawyerr both took turns to address the grantees. They congratulated us
and urged all grantees to help achieve the objectives of the election call. They used the occasion to formally launch the Star-Ghana programme.
The award signing ceremony was followed immediately by a two day intensive workshop for grant partners. The workshop was opened by the Steering committee
chairman with comments from Mr Ibrahim Tanko, Joyce Ashun, Country Manager, Christian Aid Ghana, programmes and Seth Lartey, Head of Programmes, STAR-Ghana.
Representatives of each grant partner including the programmes officer, Accounts manager and in some cases the CEO attended the workshop which was very
informative.
The workshop was addressed by personalities in the media, monitoring and evaluation, civil society, IT, NCCE, EC, the securities etc.
