TEERE consults with its partners
This year TEERE is implementing a number of projects. These are a research project on hawking in the Bolgatanga municipality,
the Star-Ghana voter education project and the Bosch sponsored TEERE Local Government Forum (TLGF). We are using our own resources to
conduct the research. the last two projected are being implemented in collaboration with several other partners.
The team comprising of the CEO, the Principal Advisor from the Senior Expert Service (Germany) and two other staff members consulted with
some individual and organisation in Accra and the Upper East region. We help a meeting with the CEO of SILDEP who re collaborating with us
on the Star-Ghana project. The meeting was held at the TEERE offices in Bolgatanga with the entire TEERE staff.
We then met with the MCE and his team in his office in Bolgatanga.
We then proceeded to the Bongo district to meet other partners. We first held consultations with the DCE and his team at the Bongo District Assembly.
All principal officers participated in the discussion. Immediately after the engagement with the Assembly we headed to the palace of the paramount
Chief. Very fruitful discussions were held with both sides committing to work together to ensure the success of the programme.
We also took the opportunity to visit the offices of the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE). The Director and colleagues were very excited to hear our mission and pledged to fully support projects.
Finally we held consultations with the leader of the PNC in Bongo, Mr Nsoh. We briefed him on the Star-Ghana and TLGF projects. He also pledged his support and that his party.
